Women are sometimes at a disadvantage in the business world because they have had to shoulder more of the burden in raising children and looking after house and home. This has meant that their business credit has not has a chance to mature as quickly as some of their male counterparts and has caused banks to sometimes turn down legitimate requests for womens business loans.

One agency that is doing its best to help small banks and other lending institutions provide more womens business loans is the Small Business Administration. They have a series of services and programs including an Online Women’s Business Center that offers women entrepreneurs specific advice and guidance as to how to get more womens business loans. There are also many women’s business organizations in the United States who not only provide advice but also assign mentors and coaches to help women get the womens business loans they need. Special programs also exist for women military veterans, women with disabilities, and immigrant and minority women.

One way to increase the chances of success in getting womens business loans is for women who want to start their own business to apply for a credit card in the name of the business that they want to operate. This allows the women business owner to build their business credit resume at the same time as they build their business. It may be necessary to use personal credit to obtain a business credit card but once that business card is approved it starts building a woman’s business credit rating and record right away. This will certainly make it a little easier when one goes to the bank to apply for womens business loans.

Women now contribute a lot to the growth and prosperity of the country and women owned and operated businesses now employ over 27 million people in the United States. Several trail blazers have opened up the doors for women entrepreneurs and nothing, not even a banks reluctance to provide womens business loans will hold them back. It is still not easy for women to qualify or get approved for womens business loans but the sheer number of women in business is making it hard to slow them down.

Looking for a good women’s health magazine can be daunting. Women’s health is big business. It’s not that your health is any worse than men’s. But with the additional burden of preventing conception and carrying children, your health is more easily and more commonly affected.

You may be looking for a women’s health magazine that provides you with effective, alternatives to drugs for gynaecological problems. No woman wants the inconvenience of long or painful periods and it’s worse when you’re trying to hold down a demanding job. But drugs take their toll too, from unwanted side effects to causing cancer.

A good quality women’s health magazine should cover aspects such as;

    * checking your breasts regularly for lumps. What about mammograms. They’re extremely uncomfortable, if not downright painful. Can they really be helpful? Are there any alternatives not offered you by mainstream medicine?
* alternative contraceptive methods to the pill. It’s unfair that the role of responsibility for preventing unwanted pregnancies seems to fall, for the most part, on women. Although that means you’re more in control, it also means the potential of more harm to your body.
* effective alternatives to surgery. You may prefer to explore these first, before committing to irreversible surgery.

Some gynecologists think that nature got it wrong when creating a woman’s body, and that science can put it right. You may take exception to that idea. Or perhaps just don’t want your organs removed unless there really is no other choice.

Were you aware that the term hysterectomy is derived from the word hysteria? That may give you an insight into the way medical science views women in general.

Did you know that breast cancer is big business in the pharmaceutical industry? Could it be that they don’t want you to know about cures because that would affect their business? There have been so many documented cases of natural cures of cancer now, that they’re almost common place.

Whatever it is you’re looking for in a quality women’s health magazine, there’s no getting away from the effective and low cost homeopathic treatment of gynecological issues. And that’s not taking into consideration the lack of side effects or long term consequences. There just aren’t any.

Homeopathic treatment is all about getting to the cause of the problem. In your case that could be from typical women’s health issues such as taking the pill or childbirth, but it could also be from a more general cause such as concussion or a tetanus vaccine.

Did you know that there are two ways of using homoeopathic remedies? One is to use the services of a professional homeopath, which is the only sensible way to resolve deep issues.

But you can also use homoeopathic remedies in the safety of your own home, given some sound advice and a homeopathic home prescribing kit.

So a good quality women’s health magazine needs to cover aspects of general health, as well as that specifically related to women’s health. Aspects such as

    * a good diet. After all, diet is such a large part of good health, you need to ensure you’ve got a handle on that.
* dietary supplements. There are many available and they’re not all equal. How do you know which is most effective?
* effective, alternative, natural medicines. Why take drugs or have surgery if you don’t have to?

According to the dictionary, honey is a sweet yellowish or brownish fluid produced by various bees from the nectar of flowers. Besides using honey as food, did you know that honey is one of the oldest and most effective beauty aids?

Honey contains waxes, sugars, and traces of minerals. It is a natural moisturizer, as well as an anti-irritant making it suitable for sensitive skin types. Honey can be found in many of the beauty products you find in your local drug store or favorite beauty supply store. Some of these products can be very expensive to purchase and many of these products can be made at home.

Try some of the following honey beauty tips below. Please be sure not to use honey on your skin if you are allergic to it!

1. Honey mask: Apply pure honey to your face and allow it to set until dry. This will take about 15 minutes. Once dry, rinse your face with warm water.

2. Body glow bath: To moisturize, smooth, and get an all over body glow, keep a jar of honey next to your bath. Apply honey on your skin and pat dry using both hands. While patting your skin, the honey will get sticky and gently pull up your skin. Rinse away the honey when you are done. The results will be great circulation and beautiful, glowing skin!

3. Honey bath: For sweet smelling and soft skin, add ¼ to ½ cup of honey to your bath water.

4. Honey scrub: Mix 1 teaspoon of honey with a little almond flour into the palm of your hand. Gently apply on your face for a facial scrub. Rinse your face with warm water to remove honey scrub.

5. Daily facial cleanser: Mix 1 teaspoon of honey with a little milk powder into the palm of your hand. Apply on your face to clean away dirt and makeup and then rinse with warm water.

6. Shiny Hair: To add some shine to your hair, mix 1 teaspoon of honey, a squeeze of fresh lemon, and 1 quart of warm water. Shampoo your hair as usual and then pour the honey mixture on your hair. Allow your hair to dry as normal. You do not have to rinse out the honey mixture.

7. Hair conditioner: For healthy hair and scalp, combine ½ cup of honey and 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Saturate your hair with the honey mixture, put on a shower cap and allow it to remain on hair for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, shampoo and rinse your hair as you normally do.

8. Skin toner: To firm, smooth, and moisturize your skin, combine 1 peeled, cored apple with 1 tablespoon of honey in a blender. Pulse honey mixture until smooth. Gently apply honey mixture on face and allow it to remain for 15 minutes. Rinse your face with warm water to remove the honey mixture.

With the above beauty tips, you can create affordable spa-like products at home. Honey is a wonderful beauty product because it contains naturally occurring enzymes, vitamins, and minerals. Be sure your honey is all natural by purchasing only 100% pure honey to create your beauty products.

The medieval period was highly dominated by the upper class. Only kings and queens and other people of nobility were allowed to dress nicely during that era as there were certain laws regulating the clothing expenditure of the lower class. Medieval costumes for women were highly influenced by what the upper class wore and they are usually made of expensive wools, silk and velvet.

The main component of medieval costumes for women are called kirtles. These are tunics worn underneath that reach up to the feet. Women also wore girdles at that time as they gave great emphasis to their figures. Brooches were also popular at that time; most women wore elaborate brooches made out of gold, with different gemstones embedded on them.

Women in the middle ages also wore tights or stockings underneath their dresses. As the styles evolved, the dresses became shorter. Some of the more conservative clothing at that time had high collars, while other varieties had low necklines showing just the right amount of cleavage.

Medieval costumes for women usually have a tight bodice, with a tunic that opens up at the edge to achieve a fuller look. Queens wore very elaborate dresses with very expensive materials; some of them even had gold linings.

When choosing medieval costumes for women, choose a style that suits your figure and a colour that suits you. Medieval dresses come in variety of colours. Some women prefer brightly coloured clothing while some opt for pastel colours. They also come with assorted designs of hats that have embellishments on them such as flowers and feathers.

The best options for medieval costumes for women are those that represent the elegance of the era. Dresses that are designed elaborately are the best options as the era is known for its noble class. The most common dresses are also those worn by the upper class since people would rarely want to dress up as peasants.

For women who were already practicing yoga prior to pregnancy, yoga for pregnant women will help them stay fit during and after the pregnancy. There are numerous poses that are used in yoga and each has its own benefits and targets specific areas. Performing the poses that target the right areas during pregnancy can help you get through the entire nine months with only minimal discomfort. It will even help you during and after the birth of your baby.

Experts agree that women who practice yoga for pregnant women during their pregnancy appear to be both happier and healthier. The added flexibility of their bodies aids them in labor and they can experience less labor pain. The poses of yoga stretch your muscles and also the other soft tissue including ligaments and tendons so that your body is prepared for the birthing process.

Other benefits of doing yoga for pregnant women include: A boost in circulation. Relief from associated aches and pains. Helps to reduce fluid retention that is common during pregnancy. Improves posture to eliminate back problems that can result from pregnancy. Teaches breathing techniques that are useful during delivery.

If you start yoga for pregnant women and have never taken yoga before, it is important to start classes with a certified instructor to supervise you. You will need to learn the poses and it is imperative that you learn to do them correctly. You should limit what you practice at home to what you have learned in class under supervision.

If you already practice yoga, then you should be able to find plenty of instructional information about which of the poses you should focus on during pregnancy. If you are in doubt as to which style of yoga will work the best for you, talk to a certified yoga teacher for advice. Different styles focus on the different areas of the body including the glandular and nervous systems, and the muscular-skeletal system.

Yoga for pregnant women uses many of the poses that are practiced at any other stage of your life but there are differences. Don’t expect your balance to be the same and don’t try to accommodate your body into a position that is no longer reasonable to attain. The abdomen is one area that you don’t want to put any pressure or strain on and you should eliminate those poses even if you have used them for years as part of your regular workout. You should also take care not to overstretch since ligaments become naturally looser around the joints during pregnancy.

To be healthy is to be beautiful. Taking care of yourself on the inside reflects how you look on the outside. Give your body nutritious, healthful food and exercise to keep your muscles strong and lean and you will feel and look fantastic.

So many of us shy away from exercise because we don’t know where to start. Gyms can be intimidating and we lack the initiative to begin our own program. It doesn’t have to be hard! Exercise is essential to well being. It not only strengthens and tones the body, but it relaxes the mind and relieves stress. Taking a half hour to an hour for you each day to work out is incredibly worthwhile. Start a walk-to-run program, either on your own or through a clinic. You’ll be amazed how quickly your body will respond to running! Your legs tone up, your posture changes and your cardio health improves rapidly.

Not a fan of running? Yoga is a wonderful way to invest your workout time. It can be physically challenging or easy and relaxing, depending on the type of class or DVD you choose. Yoga also helps quiet and focus the mind, something we don’t take enough time to do in our busy lives. A little mental time out can do wonders for lowering our stress level. An excellent health and beauty tip: give bikram or “hot” yoga a try. It’s a strenuous workout, and the heat causes you to sweat out toxins and impurities. Great for the body, great for the skin. It’s addictive!

The added benefit of exercise is that it makes you want to eat better. Why negate all that hard work by making poor food choices? Eating well is key to looking and feeling as good as you can. Making fruits and vegetables the mainstay of your diet will give your body fibre, vitamins, and minerals. Because they’re also full of water, they fill you up and keep your calorie intake lower. Keeping your sugar intake low benefits your skin as well. Many experts agree that sugar causes wrinkles! Watch out for sneaky sugar sources too, like pop, juice and refined carbohydrates – white bread, white rice and pasta.

A tip for both improved health and beauty is to include antioxidant rich foods into your diet, every day. These foods lower the risk of cancer and help reduce the visible signs of aging. Some of the best anti-oxidant rich foods include berries like blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, kidney beans and apples, all foods high in vitamin C and E. What do antioxidants do, anyway? Without getting in to too much detail, they work to prevent and neutralize oxygen damage to our cells. They effectively slow the aging process, both internal and external. Start adding antioxidant and vitamin -rich foods into your diet today, and reap the health and beauty benefits for the rest of your life!

It should be common knowledge that men and women store and carry fat in different areas; one need only look around to see this. In general, women tend to put on fat on their hips, legs, and buttocks while men tend to store primarily in their waistline.

Scientists call the shapes in men android or apple and the pear shape that most women have they call the gynoid. The third type of shape is
androgynous, meaning appearing on males and females which is an overall coverage of body fat.

Someone who is prone to being overweight may be subject to factors such as a genetic predisposition to gain weight that comes from their
parents, an under active thyroid, or as seen in recent news reports may even be infected with a virus that predisposes them to weight gain.

Fat distribution seems to be influenced by age, genetics, and race, but even more so it is governed by hormones that are specific to each gender. The estrogen hormones in women call for fat to be stored in the aforementioned pear shape while the testosterone in men leads to fat storage in the abdomen and even right above the hips.

It is not news to anyone that excessive body fat is bad for one’s health but the way that fat is stored and where it is stored affects the function and health of specific organs.

There are two types of fat, subcutaneous, which is under the skin and visceral, which is around the organs. Having excess fat around the
abdomen is from visceral fat which tells us that abdominal fat is the most dangerous risk to our health.

One of the easiest ways to determine excessive fat deposits is the waist to hip ratio measurement. The way you get this is by dividing your waist measurement by your hip measurement. The maximum for men is .95 for men and .80 for women. If your results are above this you need to take steps to reduce your weight.

If you are an apple shape you are prone to a variety of diseases related to obesity such as cardiovascular disease, hypertension, diabetes, sleep apnea, arthritis, and more.

Pear shapes are more prone to hip and knee problems and limitations in movement due to the accumulation of fat in the lower body.

Regardless of whether you are a man or a woman you should take the waist to hip ratio test and if you are over it you should begin a weight loss program immediately.

The first Best Kept Health and Beauty Secret is to use the correct pH of all products used on your skin. The recommended pH is 5.5 and certified dermatologist-tested at that level. The next beauty secret is that skin care products are 100% formulated without animal products or by-products. Only plants and herbs together, improved through science and technology, offer superior benefits.

Natural beauty is individuality. It is also glowing health and vitality, it is awareness and action, it is science and technology and, of course, well groomed looks, perfectly nourished skin, and a toned and balanced body. We are no longer interested in finding quick cover-up effects but want long-range anti-aging natural beauty secrets to make us look and feel younger. There’s a whole lot more to being beautiful than just your physical looks alone. It is true, natural beauty is making the most of what you have by looking after yourself and showing off your best.

Some of the most satisfactory beauty secrets are those you can make yourself with familiar ingredients. Old-fashioned beauty recipes handed down through the years, added to and improved upon, often turn out to be the most valuable of all beauty secrets. It will take time to determine which ones are the best for your particular skin type.

The traditional smoky-eye makeup colors are, of course, black or grey. You are, however, not limited to these color choices, you can also use less intense colors such as violet, chocolate, coffee, dark pink, copper, dark green, dark blue, or purple. Remember, when choosing eye shadow shades that colors should be chosen keeping in mind your eye color, hair color, and skin tone, and not the color of the clothes you wear. For smoky-eye makeup, you will need to choose 2 color coordinated eye shadows.

Anti aging starts on the inside, we all age at different rates depending on how well we look after ourselves. You can have control over your aging process, all you need to do is use anti aging skin care products and follow a few simple guidelines. Pursuing natural beauty secrets for anti aging is not vanity; it is an essential way to build-up confidence without which there is little achievement in anything.

Beauty advice that is not strictly guided by products 100% without mineral oil are not beauty secrets to be used. Mineral oil is occlusive that interferes with skin functions and otherwise scientifically advanced delivery systems. Think about smearing mineral oil on skin that is already even slightly oily and how the outcome could only be an oilier complexion.
